What is Hypermiling?
Evidently, with gas prices superhigh everyone's out there trying to figure out what to do to improve on their gas mileage... Enter the term Hypermiling.
So, from what I understand, Hypermiling is the study of war concentration of finding ways to dramatically improve your gas mileage. The funny thing is, Hypermiling sounds just like a fancy term for ways to improve your gas mileage. I'll be taking a look at what Hypermiling is and see if it really makes any difference or what so special about it but so far, what I have discovered is that Hypermiling is really doing some simple things like...
Making sure that your gas tank and never gets lower than one quarter tank full. If your quarter tank or less, what happens is you have dirty guess that it has a problem with your gas mileage.
The other thing is making sure that you go to a gas station that is busy. By going to a busy gas station you're sure that the gas is fresh. Still gas often has water in it and that decreases your gas mileage.
The other thing I've learned about Hypermiling is that you want to do things like drive the speed limit, they cheered at speeding up and slowing down quickly, and doing other things like growing up your windows of your driving fast to minimize wind resistance, and even using your air-conditioner when you're going to fast. The other things you wanted to or make sure you take a look at your tires and that they're properly inflated, and that they're not out of alignment.
So Hypermiling equals optimizing your gas usage.

Apple G3 iPhone...Display Sucks!?
While it appears that a number of the new iPhone G3 uses are finding the new iphone display to be a little bit annoying. What I'm hearing is that the new screen is more of a tinted yellow compared to the original screen which is loaded more blue. In early articles I'm reading that there are high for users, diehard iPhone users that are lodging complaints. When I took a look at pictures of the twofold side-by-side, you can tell that the original iPhone displays much cooler than the new G3 display. When asked iphone uses what they preferred, most of the iPhone uses are they preferred the original screen display over the new one. The interesting thing, is that when speaking with Apple, they're saying that these display on the new G3 phone is exactly the same.
At this point it's not clear whether Apple is going to make a change or do an update on the new phone based on what consumers are saying on the yellowish tint, or if there's actually a problem with the hardware, but it's clear that diehard Apple uses are not happy with the new yellow tent.
It sounds like they're a bunch of uses that are trying to switch their rigid the phones they just bought for new phones which have a clue display.
For now, looks like some users are actually just try to turn up the brightness to eliminate the yellowish tint. But what it does is create a really really bright image!

That's a huge amount of price increase. So one of the things I did was take a look to see if there was any places I could find out more about saving gas.
I came upon a relatively new site that looks pretty good. It has pretty general information about how to save gas, and it is worth a look.
Check it out, and you can learn a few things. Mostly you can learn about managing air pressure, and simple things.
But if you are not a car person, some of this may be new information for you.
Take a look and see.

Firefox version 3 is launched-Sets Record
This article I came across from the BBC. It is pretty interesting as Firefox is looking to dominate in the internet brower business.
Among Consumers, the top browsers are Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari. As the roll out of version 3 hits, it should be interesting.
I personally love my Firefox, but I am a little concerned as I am hearing that the new version is buggy.
See more about the security flaw below.
But one thing for sure, the browsers popularity continues to grow, and market share continues to increase.
I happened to download IE the otherday, and it is interesting how the new IE mirrors Firefox very closely.
This confirms who is dominating, and who is following. So where does it leave the others? and what does the browser competition hold?
Mozilla Firefox has officially set a record for most downloads in a 24 hour period.
The final record breaking 8,002,530 downloads for Firefox 3.0 took place in June with parties in over 25 countries.
"The enthusiasm and creativity of Firefox fans was key to making this happen" said Marketing head Paul Kim.
Gareth Deaves of Guinness World Records called it "an extremely impressive accomplishment".
The official figure was confirmed after logs from download servers were audited and checked to ensure duplicate and unfinished downloads were not counted.
Mr Kim told the BBC: "The notion of going for a world record, as gooky and nutty as it may have sounded, was a really sticky idea.
"It was an idea that translated really well across national borders and to all different kinds of people around the world."
Marketing manager Mary Colvig said no party is planned to celebrate the record until the actual certificate is presented by Guinness World Records in London next week.
"Here at Mozilla headquarters (in Mountain View) I think most of us are just going to try and get to bed early now that we have the confirmation. We are all tired."
